Dynamic Tunable Deflection of Radiation Based on Epsilon-Near-Zero Material

Epsilon-near-zero nanoantennas can be used to tune the far-field radiation pattern due their exceptionally large intensity-dependent refractive index. In this study, we propose a hybrid optical antenna based on indium tin oxide (ITO) enable tuning of deflection radiation, specifically structure ITO and dielectric material, which makes angle changes 17∘ as incident intensities increase. Moreover, by employing an array or nanodisks, enhance unidirectionality pattern, resulting in needle-like shape with angular beam width α< 8∘ main lobe. The response lobe paves way for further studies applications steering modulation where dynamic control is highly desirable.
